The Wilpon Award is an award given to the player following each and every Mets game who best exemplifies indifference, laziness and overall failure. This award is not just for those who are an overall disappointment to the team, but also those who blew the game at it’s most important moment.  This site is dedicated to awarding the New York Met who best helped us forget that this was the same franchise on the winning end of the Mookie ball. The perfect specimen of ballplayer who Fred and Jeff Wilpon have show time, and time again, that they are fully committed to bringing to Flushing Meadows, New York.   At the end of the year the player with the most Wilpon Awards will be sent something to commemorate their achievement. Something great, a trophy of sorts, like a bag of shit.
